The logo of the Liga Nacional Puertorriqueña: a big sky-blue circle, bordered in red and white, surrounding a smaller circle of darker blue with white borders, superimposed on which is a red-and-white nautical star that hosts the acronym "LNP" in black block letters.

The logo of the Cotorras de Río Grande: a bright red "R" in thick quirky type bordered in black and yellow on a green circle bordered in orange-yellow-orange.

Cotorras de Río Grande

Río Grande Parrots

The most colorful team in the Liga Nacional derives its name from the most famous example of the island’s tropical fauna and flora, whose variety and brilliance of color are regrettably a rarer sight in Río Grande’s famous national parks than in past decades.

Mascot: Lorocuaz

(loro “parrot” + locuaz “talkative”)

You'll probably hear Lorocuaz, the mascot of the Cotorras de Río Grande, long before you see it. It's a big green parrot, whose wingtips are yellow—except the tailfeathers, where there's red. It's got an orange beak, with a red comb over it, and yellow eyes, and orange talons that it will absolutely use to hold you in place so it can finish its sentence.
